7. Tulipa regelii

T. regelii is one of the strangest and rarest of all wild tulips. It has ribbed leaves that resemble a radiator. These ribs may be an adaptation to the tough growing conditions in the Chu-Ili Mountains (800m/2,600ft) North of Almaty, the former capital of Kazakhstan, where it can be searing hot by day and freezing at night
