9. Tulipa zenaidae

This red-and-yellow tulip lives in the Kyrgyz Alatau mountains, on the border between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. T. zenaidae takes its name from Zinaida Botschantzeva, a botanist who described several tulip species in the former Central Asian republics of the Soviet Union.
