38. Tulipa primulina



T. primulina grows in limestone pockets in the Aurès Mountains of Algeria at an elevation of 2,400m/7,900ft. It is often found in the shade of cedar trees. The delicately colored and sweetly fragrant flowers open late in the afternoon, when the heat of the day has passed.
